Soft Water Inc. combines over 70 years of expertise with the highest quality water softener products. If you’re wondering how to choose a water softener, we provide tailored water conditioning systems to best fit your needs. Each softener is manufactured using state-of-the-art Fleck control valves, durable fiberglass mineral tanks, and sturdy 320-pound salt storage tanks. We also stock a variety of water softener sizes with top-tier quality controls. Whether your softening needs are for your home or business, let us custom design and build the perfect water softener for you.
Everyone’s water needs are unique. How to choose a water softener depends on factors like family size, water source (city or well), and water quality—whether it’s hard, rusty, or odorous. Your lifestyle also plays a role, whether you’re home daily or travel often. Even having teenagers can impact your water usage! These considerations help us recommend the perfect water softener system for you.
We offer a full range of control valves and tank sizes to match your specific needs. A small family with a consistent lifestyle may benefit from a 24,000 grain metered water softener, available for $1,395 or $27/month for rent. A larger family with fluctuating water usage—such as children returning from college—may need a 49,500 grain DEMAND regeneration softener, priced at $1,595 or $31/month for rent.
No matter your water concerns or location—whether in Waukesha, Oconomowoc, Hartland, Delafield, Dousman, Brookfield, Sussex, Germantown, New Berlin, Franklin, Mukwonago, Burlington, or anywhere in Southeastern Wisconsin—we’re here to help you choose the best water softener for your home or business. When considering how to choose a water softener, it’s essential to match the system to your water usage. For larger residential applications and small commercial needs, a Twin Tank, Demand Regeneration system offers the highest efficiency and uninterrupted soft water, regardless of usage. While the double-tank system is higher priced, at $1,625.00, a twin 49,500-grain water softener can save you money on salt and water over its 25-year lifespan—making it a great investment.

If your home has never had a water softener, additional plumbing may be required. Due to rising copper prices, installation costs can range from $50.00 to $250.00, with CPVC jobs slightly lower. Some Southeastern Wisconsin communities also require plumbing permits, which range from $20.00 to $50.00.
*Installation is typically included in these prices.
